amelia: nine months old.

guys. guys guys guys! we have a mover.she took her sweet little time with crawling, but as soon as she figured out she could, like, go touch all the things by crawling over to them, it was game on honey. and now little girl is pulling up on everything like, "what mom? i can do all this cool stuff now, no big deal." (also, she can push her walker around now. if you're not following me on instagram, you should because i just posted a video of it there).

(this was my competition when trying to take photos this month)

everyone told me that i would hate the day that she became mobile, but i am totally into it! she is so much more content now that she can get places on her own. it's been such a freeing experience. as much as it's hard to see her grow up sometimes, i really love watching her learn all these new things.bonus: now that she moves more, she naps so much better!

(her new favorite spot)

little miss also weaned herself off of night feedings last week. i was starting to plan on helping her do it, but then she had one night of sleeping on dad, and after that she didn't need to eat at night anymore. even if i go to soothe her when she wakes up at night, she snuggles up to me instead of grabbing at my chest. it's a little bittersweet, because those night feedings were some of the only snuggles i got and i must confess i miss them a little. she's making up for it by giving hugs during the day now though, so i'm surviving.

(unimpressed with what i'm trying to do)

we have been having a lot of fun being outside these days too. we definitely have an outdoor girl on our hands. if we let her, she would play in the backyard all day long. we got a water table for her to play with while we work in the garden, and it's been a big hit! yes, it means we need to change clothes at least once a day, but it's worth it.

(getting over her sickness and not feeling the photoshoot)

my dearest boo boo: i can tell that you, your dad, and i are going to be great friends. we totally have the same sense of humor, and also the same dance moves. lots of knee bouncing and swaying. thanks for being such a fun addition to our family. we love you the most!
