these days with baby Z3.

well, we're here for the update this week, so baby is still on the inside!will we make it to the 40 week belly update? only time will tell. i'm pretty convinced that this child will be the only one to come early because that would be the most inconvenient thing to have happen. i'm setting the expectations low so that if i make it to due date, i'll be pleasantly surprised. i know, what woman wishes to be pregnant longer? ones that don't have their bed set up in their home yet, that's who. if i can get my bed, the pack and play, and the coffee maker set up first, baby can come whenever it wants. hah. it'll come whenever it wants anyway. remind me of this post if i end up a week overdue please.the blessing of having done this twice before is that the anxiety is really at a zero, because i know whatever will be, will be. and whatever that looks like will be perfect. kids have a great way of teaching you to throw expectation out the window, and for that i'm grateful.

38 weeks with baby Z3.

how far along: 38 weeks (and i’m actually 38 weeks now!).i’m feeling: both ready to get this baby out and not ready to let this baby out at all. i can't wait to meet this little one and watch our family grow and adjust and change with the new life. but also we won't be in the house for another week so i can very much wait until that happens to welcome this baby into the world. they're just so much easier on the inside, am i right?total weight gain: 25 pounds at my appointment. apparently i'm not a stress-eater when i'm pregnant? i've been working on eating more ice cream. if you watch my instagram stories, you would have seen the amazing apple cider ice cream i found last week (#basic). i've been going hard on that.baby Z3’s size: this week, baby is the size of a leek, about 6 3/4 pounds and 19.5 inches long. i'm guessing it's closer to 7 pounds based on how heavy my belly feels.this week: well, since i can't nest right now (which is absolutely starting to kill me thank you very much), i'm mostly focusing that energy on planning house projects/moving, as well as prepping my lists for the holidays. i also remembered to buy William's birthday presents so that's a pretty big deal to have that done since poor little man is going to be slightly overshadowed this year (his 2nd birthday is the day before my due date). not much, just a little. thank goodness he's turning two so he won't know any better this year.maternity clothes: i decided that if my blanqi leggings or support tank get dirty, they're getting washed that same night because i don't have the desire to wear anything else on my body at this point. sleep: i started to get really sore in my hips when i lay on one side too long. and it hurts to roll over now. so that's fun. Mister Man loves the grunting noises i make when i try to switch positions at night haha. best moment this week: finding out that baby was head down again!!movement: i HAD to mention that baby was head down last time didn't i?? because at the next appointment, baby had turned full-on sideways. WHY BABY?? my kids start out moving like crazy and never stop, which i am super thankful for, but also maybe like stay put where you're supposed to. but all's we'll that ends well and for this week baby is head down again. (see what happened with William's version here).food cravings: i think i'm telling myself i'm craving ice cream, but truth be told it's still nothing. peanut butter on apples maybe? only because i'm averaging one a day lately.food aversions: just eating in general is still unappealing. nothing new here.belly button in or out: outie belly button is here to stay. thank goodness i don't do postpartum updates on my belly button, because that would just freak people out. that's where the drama really is people...looking forward to: same as last time. just want to move in and meet this baby. in that order if possible.
