humpday happy list.
whew! are we all just feeling a little bit tired and sluggish from the holidays? it can't just be me, right? so here are the things that are making me smile this week, as tired as that smile may be. what's making you smile this week?1) humpday deliciousness: fromage fort.this is just an amazing thing. i love cheese. and i love bread. and i love wine. and i love that this basically is just mixing together a bunch of cheeses and wine and spreading it on bread. i mean what. (disclaimer: i have not made this, and will not be making it until i get back from st. john and our honeymoon. because i don't need to feel any more weighed down than i already do. i'll be in a swimsuit soon people!)2) humpday photo: Mister Man and me on new year's eve.i love this crazy guy. i know he loves me too because he took this selfie for us. with a smile. and look at that scruff...what a keeper.3) humpday makeup: mac pearlglide intense eye liner.i have a bit of a makeup problem. it's gotten better over the years, because i manage to not buy things i don't need, but i still love to try new products now and then. and this is one of the most amazing eyeliners i've ever worn. it's like drawing on your eye with a marker, that's how easy it goes on. i have it in the color below, and it's just a little sparkly, without making you feel like you're back in junior high wearing glitter all over your eyes. such a bad time in my life.4) humpday accessory: faux fur scarf.this is not the exact one i have, but i can't find a photo on the target website. i'm wearing mine in the photo above from nye. it is literally the warmest scarf i own, and when you wear it with a topknot it makes you look, in my friend kari's words, "like a russian ballerina". which is a pretty great thing.5) humpday home project: finally hanging things up on our walls.excuse the poor lighting on this photo, but i am so proud of this milestone that i took it as i was leaving for the bus this morning. it only took us 7 months, but we got our prints framed and on the walls by the time 2012 was over. because we are adults. we love to have prints and art pieces of places that we've been or of things that mean something to us. and now they are finally on display!
(from l to r: a storypeople print from teags, a painting of mackinac bay where we spent the week after our wedding, a photo/art print of the st. paul cathedral from meg, a painting of the grand hotel on mackinac island where we stayed)
