this is why we work.
throughout the Christmas season, i will be linking to my post about zach at the beginning of every post. in the spirit of the season, please consider sharing his story and/or making a donation to the zach sobiech osteosarcoma fund. then give someone you love a hug.i love my husband. and i think that we work pretty well together for many, many reasons. you know, we have the same values, the same sense of humor, we both think the other has a cute butt. typical stuff.
some old photos of us being awesome together.
other reasons are maybe less typical. the other day when i was grocery shopping (cub foods 4 lyfe baby!) and Mister Man was (surprise, surprise) out of town, i called him from the store and asked him if he wanted anything in particular. this isn't that weird, because we've only been living together for 6 months so we're still getting used to each other's everyday preferences. and i aim to please!one thing i've learned about my husband is that the man must drink orange juice every day, whether it's in pure juice form or with a smoothie (sidebar: Mister Man was very skeptical of our magic bullet blender that i was so excited about on our registry. until he used it and kablam! he's obsessed and uses it more than i do now. you're welcome darling dearest.) so he requested orange juice. then my phone died so i was on my own.when i got home, i called the man back and gave him a rundown of all the goods i got at the grocery store. do you guys ever do that? for some reason i feel the need to tell my husband everything i buy at the grocery store. maybe because i get really excited about my purchases? maybe i'm an oversharer? anywho, i told him that i bought the pulp-free, calcium-enriched orange juice, was that ok? and he told me that i did a great job, because that's exactly the kind he likes.and i realized that this is just another reason why our love works. we both prefer our orange juice free of chunks and good for our bones.
