this is why we work #2.
well, Mister Man and i both caught some pretty nasty colds from each other right as the Christmas craziness was peaking. our first married Christmas, and our first joint sickness. we never had to deal with this when we didn't live together! a little FYI, if you ever need a surefire way to sleep on a blow-up mattress, i highly suggest you get sick on a holiday, but keep going at full steam anyway. you will sleep like an exhausted baby.so the 26th was a welcome respite, even though it was still tough to say goodbye to all the out-of-town cousins and our lovely families (and the steam shower at my parents house). we left my extended family's brunch (the 100-hooley brunch....normal) and promptly crashed on our couch.the good news factor here is that we both happen to have the exact same taste in tv shows. before you go and think that this is me outing Mister Man for liking "the bachelorette" or "real housewives" or something, it's not. this is me outing myself for loving liking shows like "bob's burgers", "it's always sunny in philadelphia", and "the league".i like them so much that one year, when MM was living in des moines, ia and i was living in st. paul, mn, our valentine's day plans consisted of drinking summit epa and watching about 3 hours worth of "always sunny". how do we handle our exciting lives? i don't know. sometimes i'm amazed that i ever find anything to write about here.[gallery ids="907,908,909"]so that's how the two of us spent the day after Christmas. sick on the couch watching stupid, terrible, vulgar tv shows while eating cough drops, drinking tea and snuggling up in our Christmas blankets. it would have been reminiscent of valentine's day if we had been healthy enough to drink beer.
